Pamper your clients

A scientific study has revealed that  people prefer to receive things for free rather than buying them at lower prices.

So Black Friday doesn’t have to be all about discounts.  Why not surprise your regular customers with a free gift?  It’s a country email list great way to thank them and show them that they’re important to you. And then you can also make them aware of your promotional packages.

But my customers love promotions and discounts…

Here’s  another tip:  a 50% discount is just as effective as a 30% discount. However, if a customer needs to make a decision quickly, they will prefer a 50% discount.

This belief that “50% is more” can be applied perfectly to time-limited beauty treatments. For example, you could phrase it like this:  Book an hour-long facial and get an extra 50% free (30 minutes). This also works great for massages.

You’re still adding value (instead of lowering prices) as we mentioned at the beginning. However, with a clever marketing ploy, it will look like you’re actually lowering those prices.

4. Gift cards

Gift shopping accounts for more than half of all purchases during Black Friday week.  This creates a huge opportunity to sell gift cards or vouchers. Here’s a little tip.

Make your gift cards even more affordable during Black Friday. You can communicate this like this:

  • Buy a €40 voucher today and we will increase its value to €50.
  • Buy a €60 voucher today and we’ll add another €20 voucher for free.
  • Pay €100 and we will give you a voucher worth €125.

PRO TIP : These Black Friday gift cards will only be available to customers in January or February, or another month when you have fewer orders.

5. Promote Black Friday on your social media

Promote your promotions on social media.  Emphasize that this great deal is limited time  to create a sense of urgency and FOMO (fear of missing out). If possible, add additional payment methods to your website.

Organic (non-sponsored) posts don’t have as much reach these days,  so we recommend investing in their promotion.  Target your ads to your existing customers rather than a completely new audience.  And don’t forget to advertise on Instagram as well.

When to advertise?

Research looking at Black Friday week promotions shows that you get the best results if you  advertise in advance . You can set the timing of your Facebook and Instagram ads on your Facebook Page or in Facebook Business Manager.

6. Don’t forget to promote your salon’s website

Post the offer on your hair salon or beauty salon website as well. This is the easiest way to get your promotions noticed. You should then attract clients to your website via social media and email marketing (newsletter).

7. Hold a competition

Another way to thank customers while promoting your Black Friday deals is  to run a contest on your Facebook or Instagram.  The winning prize could be a new haircut, manicure, or any service you offer. Again, you can set a condition that these services can only be used on a specific date.

Creating such a contest  will produce content that you can share on social media, in your newsletter,  and on your website until the end of the Black Friday sale, so you can make the most of this period. Moreover, if a client who wins and comes to your salon in January to collect their prize agrees to be photographed or writes a positive review,  you will get valuable content for the next period.  You can read more about  how to set up a contest correctly in this article .
