I can see why there is a ne to track who follows and unfollows us on LinkIn. Aside from ego-relat motivations, it can provide insights into when people follow and unfollow us. As people build their network on LinkIn and take new steps in their careers, they lose track of a lot of connections. And insights into what those connections’ perspectives and positions are on their work.

In addition, everything is data these days, including how business operations are run bas on things telemarketing data  like supply and demand, content and general interest in the content of the work. These things can be measur in different ways, although context and interpretation are still crucial to draw the right conclusions.

Think about how often people react

A miss opportunity?

I find it a great loss that I cannot get an overview of who follows and unfollows me via LinkIn, how real-time feedback helps fine-tune your campaigns  because the consequences of incrowd and outcrowd are nowhere in society as visible as in working life. Think of things like diversity, inclusivity, information bubbles and democratic developments around knowlge sharing and dissemination. In the end, work always comes down to favoritism and who we are, instead of what we can do. The patterns of followers and unfollowers hold up a mirror in that respect.
